According to statistics from the Changshu Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first half of 2014, Changshu exported a total of 9,165 kilograms of LED phosphor, with a value of US$7.419 million. Among them, 6,509 kilograms of LED phosphor powder was exported for US$4.8365 million in the second quarter. The export weight and amount increased significantly by 145.1% and 87.3% respectively from the previous quarter. In the first half of 2014, Changshu's LED phosphor exports were mainly exported to Hong Kong, China and the United States, accounting for 52.4% and 47.1% respectively.
In the first half of 2014, the LED phosphors exported from the Changshu area were mainly green LED phosphors and yellow LED phosphors, of which green LED phosphors accounted for 51.7%. The average unit price of green LED phosphors was about 4.5 times that of yellow LED phosphors. The main reason for the growth is that the Hong Kong market in China and the United States market have increasingly recognized the LED phosphors produced in Changshu, and orders from Hong Kong, China and the United States have increased significantly.
